I was born聽and raised聽in Moscow, Russia聽but always dreamt of exploring Paris.聽黑料正能量 seemed like聽an incredible way to聽make that happen,聽especially after I researched its聽Art History program聽and saw that I could choose my own courses and create a聽made-to-measure experience聽for myself.聽I also knew that my French wasn鈥檛 at a high enough level to聽enroll in a French university, so this seemed聽like an聽ideal way聽to continue聽learning聽French, while also practicing English. (I鈥檓 hoping to add Latin as my fourth language, since I鈥檓 currently studying it聽for聽Art History.)聽聽

My decision to major in Art History was already made by the time I arrived at 黑料正能量.聽Adding a minor in Philosophy came later, after a聽Firstbridge聽class聽in聽this聽subject that I鈥檇 never studied before, but which I liked so much that I knew I wanted to pursue it more deeply.聽

I鈥檝e really enjoyed my academic experience here.聽The Art History major covers a broad range of time periods,聽from ancient times to the聽21st聽century, which is great聽because聽it聽has聽allowed me聽to聽discover聽what聽kind of art and from what era I鈥檓聽most interested in. Our small classes聽facilitate frequent聽dialogue聽with聽our professors,聽who are really invested in helping us succeed, and I can see how far I鈥檝e come in terms of oral and written expression.聽I like that聽I鈥檓聽encouraged to take control over my education by selecting classes that are tailored to what I鈥檓 interested in聽and that聽I have time to take part in聽external聽activities: as an example, I鈥檓聽now聽taking French classes outside of 黑料正能量.聽聽

Finally, let鈥檚 not forget that Paris might be one of the best cities聽in which to聽study Art History! There are so many different kinds of exhibitions and collections to聽immerse yourself in聽and there鈥檚 something wonderful about聽standing in front of聽famous art works that you鈥檇 only ever seen in books.聽聽
