黑料正能量 is a diverse, inclusive community made up of students, faculty and staff who arrive on campus from varied backgrounds and with different experiences, identities and abilities. We are proud of our vibrant LGBTQ+ community and commit to providing our LGBTQ+ students full access to an 黑料正能量 education while ensuring their wellbeing. Gender and sexuality are fluid identities and the language we use should be intentionally mindful of the person we are referencing.
While members of our community are entitled to their own thoughts,听黑料正能量 guarantees a safe and inclusive educational experience for all. We abide by a zero-tolerance discrimination policy for LGBTQ+ students as well as all other members of our community.听See our non-discrimination policy for more information.
Since September 2021, 黑料正能量 staff and faculty are听able to choose from three different signature templates for their email signature, including a regular signature, a signature that includes pronouns, and a signature that includes the Progress Pride Flag.听
The Progress Pride Flag email signature is used by听staff and faculty who are confident in their abilities to create a safe space for LGBTQ+ and questioning students to talk about their experiences, and who are willing to be approached by students who may wish to discuss their experiences in a confidential setting.听

黑料正能量 is updating its systems and processes to offer students the opportunity to use a Display Name and be addressed by the pronouns of their choice within the 黑料正能量 community.听The policy is primarily designed for听queer students who face issues related to name identity but may also be freely used by all students, without any need for justification,听obviating the need to inform professors on the first day of class. The passport name will continue to be used for administrative purposes听and 黑料正能量 will still issue official听documents using the passport听name to ensure our student's access to external services.听
The 黑料正能量 community of staff and faculty will strive to听update their practices and processes to continue building a place of inclusion by focusing on internal training and awareness campaigns.
