Assistant Professor Lee Ann Galindo Perez is a marine biologist interested in studying the ecological and evolutionary factors explaining the diversity of benthic communities, fulfilling the Linnaean (species delimitation), Wallacean (biogeography) and Darwinian (Phylogeny) shortfalls, seeking to gather the needed knowledge to assist resources management in a drastically changing ecosystem.聽
