Professor聽Bloomfield was first appointed at The American University of Paris in 2000 as a specialist in Business French as well as in teaching French as a Foreign Language and French Culture as a Foreign Culture. He particularly specializes in teaching French as a professional foreign language for business and public administration. He therefore focuses his teaching activities on politics, diplomacy and military issues.

Since 1993, Bloomfield has been developing with passion a particularly dense, structured panel of professional complementary activities/experiences in the field of French as a Foreign Language, both in France and abroad. For instance, he was appointed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to serve during two years, 1994-1995, in the cultural service of the French Embassy at the French Cultural Institute in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland.
