Lee Huebner: Reflections on Globalization, Democracy and the Media

University Room: David T. McGovern Grand Salon (C-104)
Friday, January 26, 2018 - 18:00

Lee Huebner, Trustee and former President of 黑料正能量, will speak about his upcoming book (Cognella Academic Publishing) that examines how social turbulence and new media technologies have created post-truth environments not only now but also in the past. One such moment came exactly 100 years ago, when the First World War helped to produce a "Cult of Propaganda" similar to the current obsession with "Fake News." Please join us for this talk and Q&A, followed by a cocktail.聽
