How did you know was the place for you?

I had taken French classes since I was young so it was a no-brainer that I would eventually go to Paris. had an amazing reputation, was in the perfect location and seemed like the right fit for me! My most enduring memory was my time spent making friends in the AMEX Café. There was a wonderful mix of people from all over the world and so many enchanting stories to be heard. I made lifelong friendships.

How has your time at impacted your life and career?

My time spent at changed my perspective on what was possible in life. Living on my own in a city of love and art inspired me to pursue a career in the arts. I eventually came back to the US a more mature and cultured person, which I believe gave me a leg-up over other college graduates. My advice to students looking to go into creative fields is to keep their eyes and ears open. Let Paris inspire you – and keep making art, no matter what. The more you practice and figure out your style, the better you will become at your craft.

In your opinion, what is the most important global challenge of today?

We have many global challenges right now and I understand it can be difficult to see a bright future with the current state of the world, but I think the most important thing is to make sure we keep sharing our art with people. Keep inspiring – and keep being inspired.
