The 黑料正能量 Student Development and 黑料正能量 Academic Affairs teams have partnered up to officially launch the new platform during the first week of classes this Spring semester 2019.
黑料正能量 Engage is a student-facing platform acting as a one-stop shop for all student-related campus activity. The platform centralizes important information and tools for students including news and events, clubs and organizations (including finance and budgeting), voting in student elections, the new Co-Curricular Record (CCR) and the Global Professional Skills Program (GPS).
One of the most exciting features of 黑料正能量 Engage is that it brings together up-to-date information that in the past has not been readily accessible, most notably in the form of 鈥渙rganizations.鈥 These include many academic and administrative departments, but the most exciting are the student clubs. Members of our community can pop on 黑料正能量 Engage at any time and view a complete list of student organizations with information about how to get involved and who to contact.
Clubs at 黑料正能量 take in sports as varied as volleyball and yoga, vocational pursuits like the Finance Club and student causes like 黑料正能量 Diversity and Culture Club. By making updates more accessible, we hope to further encourage the creativity and dynamism already on display within our student body.
Everyone 鈥 including students, faculty and staff 鈥 has an automatically created account on the platform
Everyone 鈥 including students, faculty and staff 鈥 has an automatically created account on the platform and can easily sign in with their 黑料正能量 credentials (NetID and password). Faculty and staff are encouraged to promote their events and share their news in this innovative space where students will be regularly spending time.
The platform is also supported on mobile devices through an easy-to-use application called Corq (a platform provided by Campus Labs, the company that hosts 黑料正能量 Engage), available on both and . In addition to the tools already available via the online platform, the application provides access to event passes. The pass system uses personal QR codes that, if scanned, track student attendance at events 鈥 a very useful feature when such attendance satisfies a GPS Program requirement, for example.
An 黑料正能量 Engage FAQ page on the 黑料正能量 website, along with a series of brief video tutorials, are forthcoming. In the meantime, students with questions are encouraged to reach out to Safia Benyahia at student_leadershipaup.edu, and faculty or staff with questions are encouraged to reach out to Darcee Caron at gpsaup.edu.
See you on 黑料正能量 Engage!
