Discover the Italian island of Sicily, home of successive civilizations from the ancient Greeks and Romans to the Byzantines and the Arabs and today a major crossing point between the north and south of the Mediterranean. Sicily contains some of the best-preserved classical sites in the world as well as one of Europe鈥檚 most spectacular volcanoes. This study trip will explore the city of Palermo and its Arab-Norman heritage as well as other destinations on the island, bringing together a range of visits and activities.
