Decolonizing聽research and the academic curriculum from the inside out

How can incarcerated justice advocates work in solidarity with psychology students and academia to decolonize education and imagine new worlds? This discussion will highlight a participatory action research project that is looking at the experiences and highlighting the visions of jailhouse lawyers - that is, individuals who teach themselves law, use it to free themselves and others, and redefine justice and reshape the justice system from within. This conversation will invite us to imagine an academic process that does not reinforce white supremacist structures but instead insists on collective liberation, led by those who are most impacted by oppressive systems.
