Born in the USA raised in France and in Afghanistan, Professor Barry鈥檚 work in 听defense of human rights and leading humanitarian missions, often under the most dangerous conditions of war, has ranged from the International Federation for Human Rights to M茅decins du Monde and the United Nations.
Dr. Barry also taught Islamic Studies for many years at Princeton University, and as an internationally recognized scholar of Islamic Art, he advised on the Islamic galleries at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Communication Center (CECI) has awarded several scholarships over the past 20 years 听to students from troubled places in the world.听 This year, we succeeded in receiving two 听Afghan students.听 This was no easy task. Learn more about it and about a troubled part of the world we live in.
