In honor of Black History Month, please join us for the public opening of "Embracing," an exhibition curated by Jacqueline Ngo Mpii,聽in the 黑料正能量 Fine Arts Gallery on February 13, 2020. The exhibition will run until March 1, 2020

What does Black History Month, which is an annual celebration that commemorates the achievements of major African-American figures and their role within the United States mean around the world?

What does it mean for a country like France, which has the largest African diaspora in Europe, and where talking about race and聽colorism is still an issue?

Embracing is the assertive and assumed expression of artists from the French art scene, who express on canvas and sculpture the memory of those who are not studied and not heard, those who play a major role within the society without acknowledgment, and finally, the representation of themselves within the society.

Embracing is the promotion and celebration of Black culture in French society.聽
