Nearly 200 years before 鈥渇ake news,鈥� Parisian newspapers sang about their own corruption on stage.聽聽If you would like to hear more about how the nineteenth-century press was dramatized, please come celebrate the publication of Cary Hollinshead-strick's聽book,聽The Fourth Estate at the Fourth Wall: Newspapers on Stage in July Monarchy France, at 18:00 on Friday, October 11 in Q-801.
In keeping with the book鈥檚 focus on embodiment of newspapers, you are encouraged to dress as a favorite periodical publication from any time or place.
