For centuries, Vienna was the star at the center of Central Europe. By the time theAustro-Hungarian Empire disintegrated in 1918, it had also become a hotbed for theavant-garde. Explore the city’s rich cultural legacy, from Imperial palaces to fin de sièclecafés, from Old Masters to the world’s largest collections of Egon Schiele and GustavKlimt. In addition to visiting architectural, historical and literary landmarks, this tripdevotes special attention to the city’s storied musical heritage, with visits to the homesof great composers and a concert at the Vienna Philharmonic or another prestigiousclassical music venue.This study trip has been designed to complement CL2059, but is open and accessibleto anyone intent to discover the city
