The primary purpose of the trip is a visit to the European Parliament in order to learn听the history and functions of the parliament, and in particular its role in the foreign and听security policy of the European Union as per the politics course taught by Prof. Ekovich.听Students will also be exposed to the wealth of languages at the EP, interpreters, and听issues related to the multilingual nature of such an institution, all of which are discussed听in the linguistics course taught by Prof. Rast.听A visit to the city of Strasbourg also provides rich linguistic exposure as both French and听Alsatian are spoken.
