As part of the 黑料正能量 Digital Campus,聽the聽Office of Communications聽is launching a new video series聽in which staff and faculty members share their views on how the Covid-19 pandemic will affect their fields of study.聽Each week, we鈥檒l take on new topics聽鈥 starting with episode one from 黑料正能量鈥檚 Provost,聽Dr.聽William Fisher, who discusses how 黑料正能量 moved from on-campus teaching to remote learning procedures in five days flat.聽
Dr.聽Fisher joined 黑料正能量 as Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs on August 1, 2018.聽Before聽taking up his role at聽黑料正能量,聽he聽served as the Associate Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.聽While at Clark,聽he聽was also聽Professor of International Development and Social Change in聽the聽interdisciplinary聽Department of International Development, Community and Environment, which聽he聽helped聽create.聽Dr.聽Fisher is a graduate of Bucknell University and holds聽master鈥檚 degrees in聽anthropology and聽international聽affairs, as well as a doctorate,聽from Columbia University. He is a specialist in the language and culture of Nepal, where he has done extensive fieldwork and research.聽
