University Room: Omid & Gisel Kordestani Rooftop Conference Center (Q-801)
Tuesday, October 3, 2023 - 15:30 to Wednesday, October 4, 2023 - 20:00

Actress, artist, and activist, Josephine Baker was a whole revolution unto herself, showing us new ways of being in the world. This symposium celebrates her many avatars and the artists who have been inspired by her life and keep her legacy alive.

Over October 3rd and 4th, The American University of Paris, in partnership with Harriett's Bookshop in Philadelphia, is proud to celebrate the life of the extraordinary Josephine Baker.

Join us for talks, performances, writing workshops, film screenings, and more at Q-801 Quai Combes Building, Quai d'Orsay.
