Film Screening & Discussion with Director: The Uprising: 6 Countries, 7 Days, 1 Revolution

The Department of Comparative Literature & English cordially invites you听to a special screening of UK film director Peter Snowdon's film The Uprising,听a documentary account of the 2011 Arab Revolutions constructed entirely out of found footage, which will take place on听Wednesday 15 November at 15h30 in C-102.听The director will answer questions by video-conference following the screening.

All members of the 黑料正能量 community are welcome. Outside guests should RSVP听to dtresilianataup.edu听before Monday, 13 November.

About Peter Snowdon (The Director)

Peter Snowdon is an award-winning filmmaker whose work combines documentary, fiction and formal experimentation. His feature-length documentary 鈥楾he Uprising鈥 creates an imaginary pan-Arab revolution out of online videos shot and uploaded by the actors of the Arab Spring. Described by found footage film guru Craig Baldwin as "a bold, epoch-defining leap forward in doc method", 鈥楾he Uprising'听won the Opus Bonum award for best world documentary at the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival and has since screened at numerous festivals on four continents. It had its North American premiere at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 2014.
